Thanks for all the useful info. What month did you make this trip? We are going next week in Feb and according to weather it’s around 7-9 degrees at night at that time. Did you feel cold in the evenings on the steamship and out and about in Luxor and Cairo?

This is all good advice. Take extra water on your safari even if they say they offer it on your trip. We brought cash Rand since we didn’t want to use our charge cards other than groceries and Uber. The locals are very helpful, heed their advice. We spent 5 weeks in S.A. without issues as we were careful and didn’t go out at night.

Hi Natasha, going to Egypt and your tips are great. I was told to only use bottled water while in Cairo. We’re taking cruise down the Nile. Should we drink bottled water there too? Again, thanks for all the suggestions.

i think Venice is overrated and hyped up place.You lose lot of money by visiting this place as its extremely expensive and overated restaurants.your mention of hotels are too expensive for a visitor .sorry your comments about his city is not entirely correct.
in my opinion its not worth a visit .may be visit for a day but not more than that as you pocket will get empty.
