In reply to DeAnza. Original Travel is the UK/English travel agent for the Steam Ship Sudan, they are both under the same parent company. We can't speak to the current rates as we were on the cruise in 2019.

This trip seems amazing! We were inspired by yours and have been inquiring to book. Looks like you must book the ship as a travel package, in addition to three other activities. We are getting quotes around $16,000 for two people with 20 Original Travel. Did you book the ship alone? Really wish that was an option!

In reply to Klara. Remember the rooms being pretty comparable. However, we would recommend a room on the west side of the boat, depending on the direction of your trip. They are quieter as most of the ports are east side of the Nile.

Hello Natasha,

In your opinion, what are the best located rooms other than the suites?
I am trying to figure out which room (standard) to chose, i.e. not blocked by the staircase, not too busy area, etc. Any advice?
The preference would be the starboard side, but not much left on our dates. Are the rooms from 3 to 10 are betted located than 11 to 17? Do you remember if rooms closer to the passage/corridor (i.e. room 10) inconveniently located?
